Work directly as a functioning member of a marketing team that operates like an in-house ad agency. As an intern, you will gain understanding of how a marketing department operates at a large national, publically-traded education services company. You will be in a fun work environment, learning about marketing and advertising from a diverse team of over 30 marketing professionals. 1.Learn about Nelnet’s business, product/service offering, markets and competition. 2.Attend team and/or stakeholder meetings as determined appropriate by supervisor. 3.Interact with front end developers, the UX design lead, interactive strategists and project managers, and graphic designers on projects. 4.Front-end development for emails, landing pages, and websites – as directed. 5.Set-up, test, and troubleshoot HTML emails. 6.Assist the front-end developers in all facets of project development. 7.Ensure designs meet brand’s personality and corporate standards. 8.Ensure code meets company standards and best practices. 9.Assist with content entry, HTML and design edits, testing/QA, etc. 10.Assist in maintaining computer and server files as directed by company procedures and processes. 11.Some clerical duties. 12.Other duties or special projects as may be assigned.
Must be a junior or senior with minimum one to two years in marketing or advertising field of study, or equivalent experience.
Required Experience with HTML5, CSS3; familiarity with Twitter’s CSS framework Bootstrap and jQuery. Proficiency with Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and browser testing and troubleshooting tools.
